Families come in all shapes and sizes and so do their worries and troubles. Every family goes through tough times and it is important to know that in periods of uncertainty or change, you are not alone.

Getting through tough times

Meet two young people who are both going through tough times. One has lost her house in a bushfire and the other has recently had his dad die. But, they are not alone. Nearly all of us go through tough times at some stage in our life and it’s really important to know when we need to reach out to others to get some extra help before things get to big to handle.

Depression in the family

This podcast starts by providing an overview into what depression is. The second half of the podcast is a personal recount from Nicki, who has a mum with depression. Nicki talks about the possible causes of the depression, the impact the depression had on her and the family and what helped her cope with the situation.
